Garden Route

Stretching along the Southern Cape Coast, from Slang River near Heildelberg, eastwards to the Tsitsikamma Forest and Storms River, has a variety of exquisite flora and fauna, ranging from magnificent fynbos and Protea species to dense tropical forests in the east. This area is commonly referred to as the Garden Route.

As its name implies the Garden Route that is richly endowed by nature, spectacular in many ways, graced with golden beaches, indigenous forests, lakes, lagoons and meandering rivers.The rugged coastline marked by a succession of bays, beaches, cliffs, coves and capes links one beautifull resort to another. Bordered in the north by a series of of impressive mountain ranges , the interior is reached by a number of scenic mountain passes.

Mossel Bay

With it’s on average 320 sunshine days per year Mossel Bay is rated the mildest climate in the world, second to a small town in Hawaii according the 1992 edition of the Guinness Book Of Records. Bordered by the Indian Ocean, Mossel Bay offers kilometers and kilometers of sandy beaches and is one of South Africa’s mayor tourism destinations.
